Tribute or memorial gift
Memorial and honorary gifts to York Hospital can be a meaningful way to recognize a special caregiver, honor the memory of a loved one, or mark a special occasion. If you would like to honor an individual, please include their name and address with your gift. If you’d like to invite friends and family to make a memorial contribution in lieu of flowers after a loved one has passed, please include the following language in the obituary:
“As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in honor of <deceased loved one> may be made to York Hospital, 15 Hospital Drive, York, ME 03909. Attention: Hilary Leonhard, Office of Philanthropy.”
You may contact us should you need additional assistance.
Planned gifts
Your will or estate plan reflects your values and goals. Many people include charity as a part of their will or trust, believing that giving back to others makes our world a better place.
One of the easiest planned gifts to make is to leave a portion of your estate to an organization you care about. You can help York Hospital with a gift through your will or trust by naming the hospital as a beneficiary of an IRA, charitable gift annuity, life insurance policy, or other asset. A generous gift will cost you nothing during your lifetime. Still, a gift of just 1% of your total estate could significantly impact the future generations who come through our doors.
Listed below are several ways to make a planned gift. For more information, please contact Hilary Leonhard, Philanthropy Manager at Hilary.Leonhard@yorkhospital.com or (207) 351-3430.
Planned gifts range in size from $1,000 to $1,000,000 or more.
