Cardiac Rehabilitation

The Early Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is designed to meet the needs of patients who have recently had a heart attack, coronary artery bypass surgery, cardiac stents, heart valve repairs/replacements, a heart transplant, or heart failure.

Patients are referred to the Cardiac Rehab Program by their cardiologist. The program combines education, exercise, nutritional counseling, stress reduction, and behavior modification strategies — all to help you recover, resume your normal activities, and develop positive lifestyle strategies to enhance your future health.

Coordination with our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program

Heart and lung health are often closely related. That’s why we staff our cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs with the same team — so patients receive seamlessly coordinated treatment.

Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program assists with lung disease by helping patients cope with changes in their physical, psychological, and social well-being. The 12-session program combines education, exercise, and nutritional and emotional support for those who are ready to embrace change to reduce disability and improve their quality of life. Patients are referred to this program by their pulmonologist. Please call (207) 351-3700 for more information.
