Our experienced, skilled team of Pediatric Therapy and Rehabilitation therapists take a child and family focused approach to treatment. We work with infants and children of all ages, crafting therapy and treatment plans based on each unique individual, while taking the child and family’s specific needs and situation into account.
Pediatric Rehabilitation
York Hospital’s pediatric occupational, physical, and speech-language therapists have specialized skills. We design collaborative programs to meet each child’s mutually determined outcomes. Our team provides comprehensive evaluations and ongoing innovative therapy to enhance and restore function, mobility, and participation in all environments.
Our team of 10+ therapists focus on addressing each child and family’s strengths and areas of need to allow each child to move toward their full potential and participation. All while having fun during play-based activities! Children learn to move, communicate, play, and interact with their environments in a meaningful and natural manner.
Some of the common impairments we treat regularly:
- Torticollis and plagiocephaly
- Infant, toddler, and child feeding difficulties
- Sensory issues
- Executive function challenges
- Fine motor delays
- Communication/language challenges
- Mobility issues including the need for adaptive equipment or orthotics/bracing

The team strives to make the development of skills fun through play-based activities where children learn to move, communicate and interact with their environments in a meaningful and natural manner. We offer a strong collaborative team approach with treatment and consultation to homes, schools and community programs.
