York Hospital Gynecology & Women’s Health Services Welcomes Dr. Stefanie Allison
York Hospital Gynecology & Women’s Health Services is pleased to welcome Stefanie Allison, DO, FACOG, to its provider team. Dr. Allison joins Jane Adams, DNP, Karen Cummins, ANP-C, and Ashley Jennings, MD, in delivering compassionate, high-quality gynecologic care to women of all ages at York Hospital’s main campus.
Meet the Provider Team:
Stefanie Allison, DO, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with extensive experience in full-spectrum gynecologic care, including robotic, laparoscopic, and hysteroscopic surgical procedures. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University in Iowa and completed her residency at Albany Medical Center in New York, where she served as chief resident and was recognized for excellence in laparoscopy, surgery, and teaching. Dr. Allison provides individualized care for her patients, ensuring they feel heard and valued. “I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where my patients feel empowered to make informed decisions about their health. I have a special interest in LGBTQ+ care and providing treatment options tailored to their specific concerns.” Outside of work, she enjoys mountain biking, exploring new places, and attending her sons’ lacrosse and hockey games alongside her partner, and spoiling two big and beloved dogs.
A dedicated women’s health provider for more than 20 years, Jane Adams, DNP, FNP-BC, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Regis College in Weston, Mass. Her academic research focused on depression screening in perimenopausal women. With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by women in their reproductive years, Jane passionately guides her patients through all stages of life. Her care includes annual health and post-partum exams, acute visits, menopause, STD screening and treatments and family planning. In addition to caring for patients, Jane is committed to mentoring future health care professionals and serves as an assistant clinical professor and program director at Northeastern University, in Boston. “Providing personalized, evidence-based care is at the heart of my practice. I focus on supporting women through all stages of life with compassion and expertise.” She enjoys sailing with her husband, discovering new destinations, taking long walks, cooking, and traveling to visit their daughters.
With over seven years at York Hospital, board-certified nurse practitioner Karen Cummins, ANP-C, specializes in women’s health, performing colposcopies, biopsies, and contraceptive procedures in addition to annual gynecologic exams, acute visits, and menopause management. She earned her MSN from Simmons College and a BSN from the University of New Hampshire. Before specializing in women’s health, Karen gained experience in intensive care, cardiac procedures, and internal medicine, which provided her with a comprehensive approach to patient care. “I believe in looking at the whole person, not simply a single concern. Educating my patients is a priority, ensuring they feel confident and engaged in their care decisions.” She enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys, golfing, watching basketball games, and taking walks with their dog, Otis.
Board-certified gynecologist Ashley Jennings, MD, specializes in HPV-related conditions and surgical treatments. A graduate of Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine, she completed her residency at the University of Wisconsin, where she stayed on as faculty for 8 years. During her time there, she received multiple awards for excellence in surgical teaching and patient care. “I work collaboratively with my patients to find the best medical and surgical treatment options for their unique needs. My goal is to improve their health and quality of life.” She enjoys reading, trying new cuisines, and spending time outdoors with her husband and son.
