International Travel Medicine Services at York Hospital is a team committed to ensuring your safety and good health when traveling around the globe. But before taking a trip, it is important to understand your risks and be proactive about preventing illness or disease.
Comprehensive approach to travel medicine
At our travel medicine clinic, you will meet with a board-certified infectious disease physician to review your medical history, itinerary, and provide you with country-specific guidance to prepare you for your trip.
You will receive all prescriptions and vaccines at your visit, along with schedules for future vaccine series if needed. You will be provided general and country-specific literature to review. We are a designated Yellow Fever Vaccine Center and will provide all documentation at your visit.
Schedule at least 4 weeks prior to travel
Please schedule your visit at least 4 weeks in advance of your departure date and provide all vaccine and medical records prior to your visit. Please note, not all insurance carriers cover travel visits and related vaccines. We recommend contacting your insurance provider in advance of your appointment to discuss your coverage or any out-of-pocket costs or co-pays.
